En inglés los adjetivos se pueden colocar después de ciertos verbos para calificar al sujeto de la frase
Por ejemplo, después del verbo BE (ser/estar):
This wine is good Este vino es bueno.
The boy is naughty El niño es travieso.
The sky is blue El cielo es azul.
Los adjetivos en inglés son invariables, es decir no tienen ni género ni número:
This book is interesting Este libro es interesante.
These books are interesting Estos libros son interesantes.
That painting is beautiful Ese cuadro es bello.
Those paintings are beautiful Esos cuadros son bellos.
Cuando dos adjetivos se encuentran a continuación del verbo be, se separan con and (y):
Shi is tall and slim (Ella) es alta y delgada.
It is short and fat Es bajo y gordo.
The man is rich and famous El hombre es rico y famoso.
The girls are young and pretty Las chicas son jóvenes y bonitas.
Si más de dos adjetivos se encuentran a continuación del verbo be se unen con comas, excepto los dos últimos que se unen con and
Shi is tall, slim and beautiful (Ella) es alta, delgada y guapa.
It is short, fat and ugly. Es bajo, gordo y feo.
