Exceptuando el verbo be, las formas negativa e interrogativa del “Past Simple” se construyen de la misma manera que en el “Present Simple”, tanto para los verbos regulares como para los irregulares. Estas formasdel pasado se construyen con el verbo auxiliar do, pero en su forma de pasado did:
